About Red's Welding
Lindsey McNamara . . .
is a West Point grad and a retired Army Officer. She is a designer, artist, and 3rd generation handyman. She left the army in 2011 and went to welding school in 2012 to satisfy her curiosity and pick up a hobby - and almost immediately, people started asking her to fabricate custom work, and Red's was born! She regularly takes time off to guest teach at shop classes in Denver, as well as participate in public speaking/outreach to youth about the trades. She is an active member of the American Welding society and enjoys long hikes up 14ers.
Why choose us? I actually care about each and every weld, instead of slapping a project together and moving on to the next one. I love being creative and welcome opportunities to work in multiple media - partnering with a carpenter, or incorporating ceramic or glass elements into a design, whatever you can come up with!
Red's Welding and Contracting . . .
used to operate out of a space in Lakewood, CO until marijuana drove warehouse prices out of reach. When I closed my shop in January 2016, I knew it wasn't for good. I hit the road and landed in the chemical weapons demilitarization industry. I used that opportunity to get back on my feet and purchase land with a shop in southern Colorado. I now tackle anything from trailer repairs to residential railings, pipe welding, and government contracting with CDOT.
I take on both residential and commercial projects. I plan to add government contracting to my resume - as a disabled vet/woman owned small biz there are lots of opportunities out there to grow my business, move back into a warehouse, and create jobs in my new home of Pueblo, CO.

On this project, the posts were installed before concrete floor was poured, and railings installed after, welded in place on site in close partnership with a carpenter.

Oak Street Gate
This homeowner needed a large gate opening for his new camper - in a sloping alley. I designed a gate that opened accordion style to maximize his space.
